My name is Adrian.
And this is my story
Youngstown, and the Ohio Valley, have a story. It’s about being tough, hardworking, and building things together.​
I grew up here, with generations of union workers and proud immigrant roots in my family. From my middle-class childhood, I saw my parents work their whole lives, and I listened when they told me that hard work pays off. I studied at Youngstown State University, then got an advanced degree and worked internationally at the top of my field.
But I also know what it’s like to work hard and not get ahead.
Earlier this year, my career was taken away along with thousands of federal workers and veterans by some of the world’s richest men.
They took my job, so now I’m coming for theirs.
Because working people deserve someone to fight for them, not sell them out.
